Military Families: Welcome to Saint John Catholic School!
Relocating is never simple—especially when it comes to finding the right school for your child. At Saint John, we offer a supportive environment with faculty who are cognizant of the blessings and challenges of the lives of military families, and we are honored that you’re considering our school for your elementary and middle school students. From your first inquiry to your child’s first day, our goal is simple: make your transition smoother–and your family’s experience joyful and supported.
The Charleston area is home to Joint Base Charleston, supporting Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy, and Coast Guard sectors. We are fortunate to welcome families (and faculty spouses) from the various military branches. We try our best to offer a smooth transition to families moving to the Charleston area. We waive the registration fee for our active duty families and welcome mid-year enrollment for students, offering assistance in requesting academic records from previous schools.
If you would like to meet other military families at our school, we would love to help you make those connections as we have a Student-2-Student program in place to provide peer mentors for our new students. Our students call themselves the St. Michael Military and More Club (MC3) and help organize activities for the Month of the Military Child, Military Spouse Appreciation Day, new military family welcoming events, and more.
If you are in the area, we would love to take you on a personalized tour to show you why we may be the perfect choice for your family. These tours are also possible on weekends if your schedule is limited. If not moving yet, just call our front office (843-744-3901), and we can help you through the process and answer any school questions you may have.
